Augur Buzzards are often mistaken for vultures due to their similar size and soaring flight style. Despite this, buzzards are true hawks, not vultures, and have a much more varied diet, including small mammals, birds, and reptiles, whereas vultures primarily feed on carrion. Their striking hunting abilities and appearance set them apart, despite the confusion.

Horus
Horus was hatched in human care and served as an education ambassador at North Florida Wildlife Center for five years. The facility decided to downsize its animal amabassador collection, and Horus was transferred to Raptor Hallow where he continues to educate people on the important role his wild counterparts play in the ecosystem.
