Internships

Our Interns

Raptor Hallow Sanctuary's Internship Program is designed to provide college students and aspiring animal caretakers with a comprehensive foundation for a successful career in the world of animal conservation. Our immersive 12-week internship offers hands-on experience in animal husbandry, utilizing operant conditioning techniques, enclosure maintenance, meticulous record-keeping, and educational programming and outreach. Under the guidance of our experienced staff, interns have the unique opportunity to rotate through various aspects of our sanctuary, gaining invaluable insights and skills.

Throughout the program, interns participate in workshops that delve into critical animal-related topics, which may include common veterinay procedures, the art of a good keeper chat, various training techniques, and more. Additionally, each intern undertakes an individual project, allowing them to explore a specific aspect of animal husbandry or data collection while meaningfully contributing to our mission.

At Raptor Hallow Sanctuary, our interns are integral members of our team, and we are committed to helping them build a strong foundation for their future careers. We aspire to provide them with a transformative experience that equips them to soar in their pursuit of excellence within the field of animal conservation.
