Range
Ruby Macaws, being hybrids, are not typically found in the wild. Their parent species, however, are native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, including areas in Mexico, Central America, and parts of South America.

Description
Ruby Macaws have a beautiful combination of colors, predominantly red with green and blue accents. Their wings are mostly green with blue tips, and they share the characteristic long tails and powerful beaks common to all macaws.

Ruby Macaws are primarily herbivores, feeding on fruits, nuts, seeds, and some plant matter. They are known to enjoy a variety of foods like palm nuts, figs, and berries.

Ruby Macaws have a bite force of up to 2,000 pounds per square inch (psi) which is roughly twice as strong as that of an adult tiger. This makes the macaw's bite incredibly powerful, especially for its size, enabling it to crack open tough nuts and seeds in the wild, and making it capable of biting a broomstick in half with a single bite.
