    Umbrella cockatoos are primarily frugivorous, they feed on fruits, nuts, seeds, berries, and occasionally insects.

    The umbrella cockatoo is a medium-sized parrot, measuring 17–18 inches in height with a wingspan of approximately 22–25 inches. It typically weighs between 1 and 2 pounds

    Human care: 70 years

Umbrella cockatoos rely on their powder down for feather health, but the dust also plays a role in helping them stay cool by regulating moisture and oil levels. This natural adaptation is essential for life in their humid, tropical rainforest habitat, where cleanliness and temperature control are critical for survival.
