Cherokee was found injured on the side of a highway, likely struck by a car. He suffered head trauma and damage to his right eye. While he recovered well in rehab, the loss of vision in one eye meant he could no longer hunt for himself. After failing his live prey test, Cherokee found a permanent home at Raptor Hallow Sanctuary. Now, he participates in flight shows and educational programs, helping to raise awareness about the dangers car collisions pose to raptors.
